*If you witness a dog attack on a swan, please telephone the police on the non-emergency 101 number and ask to report the incident to the wildlife crime officer.
Whilst not putting yourself in any danger, please attempt to note as much information as possible for the police to help them with any investigation into the incident.
Please call Wychbold Swan Rescue (07867 672758) as dog bites usually become infected.
It would be a great help if you could keep an eye on the swan so you can help the rescuer locate it.
If it is your own dog that has attacked a swan, please don’t be too embarrassed to get help for it. Keep it on a lead near wildlife in the future.
We cannot report dog attacks to the police post-incident, as reports can only be made by a witness to the attack.
